Creativity boosts our productivity and leads to great things. But we all know that it is hard to be creative at all times (especially when we need to be). You might want to try one of the following suggestions to give your creativity a little boost.
#1 Create something – anything. Creating something new with your hands stimulates your brain to think creatively. You could try taking some modeling clay and mold it. You could try knitting, crocheting, or needlepoint. You could try baking something like bread because kneading the dough helps. Basically, get your hands working and let your mind catch up.
#2 Go outside. Getting outside and into nature (wherever there is some things growing) can stimulate your brain in different ways – including with creativity. Go to a park. Go hiking or walking. Do some gardening.
#3 Get with a friend. Spending time and talking with an acquaintance can be taxing, but spending time and talking with a good friend can rejuvenate you. You know each other. You know what each other is like. You can talk and brainstorm without fear. It can spark the creativity in you.
#4 Do something new. When you get out of your routine and try something new (a new skill, hobby, recipe…), you stimulate your brain in new ways Those neurons start popping and new neural networks form. It can bring your brain to life.
#5 Take a nap. When you are tired, you are tired. (Obvious, right?) Like your body, your brain needs to rest. Recharge your brain.
None of those things take an enormous amount of time, but they can help you recharge your creativity. Focus on something else to think freshly. It’s worth a try.
