9 Ways to Find the Energy You Need – Part 5

Sunlight is a wonderful natural resource for boosting your energy.  However, we often spend most of our time inside under artificial lighting (offices, schools, stores, etc.).  If you are having trouble sleeping at night, it may help you to get some more sunlight in your light during the day.

I have heard that getting close to an hour of sunlight is important.  I find that good for me, but it might not be easy every day.

You may need to schedule your time for sunlight.  Try to be awake during most of the day; you may like to stay up late and get up late, but that can adversely affect you.  Getting some sun helps your energy level.

It may benefit you to take a 20–30-minute walk in the morning.  Not only will you get the needed sunlight, but exercise helps your blood flow and your energy rise.  We know that exercise is important, so try to get some in the sun.

Also, limit your time on social media – especially at night.  If you will tun off your electronics an hour or two before bed, your mind will be ready for rest (much better than if you try to fall asleep while scrolling).  For some, this is hard to fathom, but it will definitely be of benefit while also enabling you to have more quality time with family at night.

Take advantage of the sun.  It is free and available almost every day.
